Actress Julie Benz is engaged.
The recent star of ABC’s “No Ordinary Family” got engaged to her boyfriend, entertainment marketing executive Rich Orosco, over the weekend.
A rep for the actress told People that Rich proposed on Sunday at the couple’s Los Angeles home.
Access Hollywood has learned Rich gave Julie a Kwiat handmate platinum and cushion cut center stone ring, with a pave diamond frame. The band includes a milgraine edge and hand engraving.
The custom engagement ring wasn’t the only surprise. Rich had organized a party with more than five dozen of the couple’s friends and family.
“The proposal was simple and beautiful – and then I was shocked by the pop-up surprise Mexican fiesta engagement party,” the actress told the mag. “What girl doesn’t want to be serenaded by a Mariachi band surrounded by close friends and family?”
On Monday, Benz thanked fans for their congratulations on Twitter.
“Thank you for all your well-wishes.. This is a very exciting time for us!” Julie Tweeted.
However, although the former “Dexter” star is overjoyed, there is at least one party not pleased with the news.
“One boy who is not happy about the news of my engagement… He thought we were exclusive,” Julie Tweeted, linking to a photo on her WhoSay page of her dog looking sad. Click HERE to see the photo.
