Former ‘Full House’ Star Jodie Sweetin Gets Engaged On Birthday

Jodie Sweetin’s 29th birthday was especially sweet – the former “Full House” star got engaged on her big day!

The actress’ boyfriend, Morty Coyle, proposed to the new mom at her party in front of guests at the Kibitz Room in Los Angeles, People reported.

“It was a complete surprise,” the 29-year-old told the mag. “We are just thrilled and I am in shock still!”

Jodie said having her friends and the couple’s 5-month-old daughter, Beatrix, in attendance made the moment extra special.

“I was glad that everybody was there. People videotaped it, it was great,” she explained. “My friend decorated the whole place with little diamonds on the table and other touches.”

Morty reportedly gave Jodie a two-and-a-half carat sapphire ring, which is surrounded by 18 diamonds.

Despite their engagement excitement, Jodie told the mag they won’t be rushing to the altar just yet.

“We are in no hurry as far as dates or anything like that,” she said.

Morty explained the fight for marriage equality will determine when they wed, saying, “We want to wait until there’s equality for everybody to get married.”

Jodie added, “We were absolutely committed before this, anyway. We’re just so excited.”

The former “Full House” star also has a two-year-old daughter, Zoie, with ex-husband Cody Herpin.
