Former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean Sings In San Diego

Carrie Prejean, has added a new talent to her resume — singer.

The former Miss California USA, who was dethroned last month, took to the microphone for Opening Day at the Del Mar Racetrack in San Diego on Wednesday, performing a song for the horseracing fans.

Grinning from ear to ear, the blonde, who hails from San Diego, belted out the first few lines of the Bing Crosby classic, “Where The Turf Meets The Surf,” despite the shouts of a handful of hecklers.

Prejean may not have a spot on “American Idol” in her future after hitting a couple of bum notes during her performance, but the dethroned beauty queen seemed to enjoy the moment, smiling and waving to the crowd.

She also mingled with celebrities at the event including Wilmer Valderrama.

“Hills” star Audrina Patridge also attended the event.
