Former Weezer Bassist Mikey Welsh Predicted His Death On Twitter

Former Weezer bass player Mikey Welsh, who was found dead on Sunday in Chicago, eerily predicted his own death on Twitter weeks prior.

“dreamt i died in chicago next weekend (heart attack in my sleep). need to write my will today,” a message posted on his Twitter account on September 26 read.

Following his death, the members of Weezer posted a noted on Welsh’s Twitter page, saying, “We are deeply saddened to announce that Mikey Welsh passed away unexpectedly today. He will forever be remembered as an amazing father, artist, and friend. May he rest in peace.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the staff at the Raffaello Hotel in Chicago found Welsh unconscious and not breathing on Sunday afternoon after he was scheduled to check out of his room.

The 40-year-old performed with Weezer from 1998 to 2001 and then went on to find success as a painter after leaving the band.
