Gal Gadot Lands Wonder Woman Role In Batman Vs. Superman

Great Hera! “Batman Vs. Superman” has found its Wonder Woman.

Gal Gadot, 28, has landed the role of DC’s Amazonian princess in the upcoming “Man of Steel” sequel.

“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe,” director Zack Snyder said in a statement to Access Hollywood on Wednesday. “Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.”

Gal, an Israeli actress/model, was recently seen on the big screen in “Fast & Furious 6,” playing Gisele Harrabo.

In 2004, she was crowned Miss Israel, and represented the country at the 2004 Miss Universe pageant.

“Batman Vs. Superman” is set to hit theaters on July 17, 2015.
