Just one day after the “Game of Thrones” Season 5 trailer premiered on the IMAX big screen, HBO has dropped 18 new photos.
The pics show plenty of new faces to the “Thrones” cast, including the older brother of the late Prince Oberyn — Doran Martell, played by Alexander Siddig, as well as Jonathan Pryce as the High Sparrow.
Daenerys Targaryen looked strong and stunning in a new pic of her (Emilia Clarke) in a white gown.
Another photo showed Jon Snow (Kit Harington) speaking with the new additions to his The Wall storyline – Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) and Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham).
Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion Lannister sported a beard in his photo, and a cloak to keep him hidden following the murder of his father last season.

Sansa (Sophie Turner) was captured in a shot alongside Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen). And good news for Podrick Payne (Daniel Portman) and Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) fans – they too were in the newly released photos looking rather weary (well, Podrick didn’t tie the horses up properly in that season finale and they are without four-legged friends).
HBO released the first Season 5 sneak peek trailer on IMAX on Thursday night, following screenings of Season 4, Episodes 9 and 10. “Thrones” returns April 12 at 9 PM ET/PT on HBO.
