“Game of Thrones” returns with its Season 3 premiere on Sunday night at 9 PM on HBO.
There’s a lot of drama on the way, and the actors themselves told Access Hollywood what to expect from their characters in the weeks ahead.

Emilia Clarke on Daenerys Targaryen and her growing dragons: “They’ve hit their adolescence. They’re figuring out how everything works and what they should and shouldn’t be doing… They like to break the rules a little bit… They’re kind of – they’re misbehaving in a great way.”
Lena Headey revealed that Queen Cersei Lannister may have to learn to get along with Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion Lannister, thanks to Charles’ Dance’s Tywin Lannister being back in King’s Landing and serving as the Hand of the King: “Cersei and Tyrion kind of form an allegiance because of the return of Tywin, who [is] not the greatest father. But, I think Tyrion likes to see Cersei fall. I don’t think he’s going to help her.”

Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, revealed his character, now in the Wildling camp, will be pressured by the flirty Ygritte: “I think it’s safe to say she is pushing for something. She’s pushing Jon for something that he can’t give her — because he’s made these vows — and he’s an honorable man and he will do anything to not break those vows.”
Peter Dinklage on what’s to come for Tyrion, who lost his job as the Hand of the King (and his abode) at the end of Season 2: “He’s very wily, Tyrion. So, he’ll figure it out… He’ll figure out a way to get more comfortable bedding.”

Richard Madden hinted Robb Stark will encounter the Tully family (the relatives on his mother’s side), and it won’t be the cuddliest of reunions: “In a small way we get our family back together a little, but it’s a different kind of family and this is my uncle who last time I saw him I was a kid and now I turn up and I’m his King, so it’s a really strange dynamic, but I think it makes for good drama.”
Sophie Turner’s Sansa Stark will come across Lady Olenna, also known as the Queen of Thorns, played by Diana Rigg: “She is so experienced in the game. You know when you met Lady Olenna!”

Rory McCann on The Hound — aka Sandor Clegane — who fled last season when confronted by fire in the Battle of Blackwater: “He had a bit of a meltdown last season, so now’s he’s kind of committed career suicide and he’s a bit of an outlaw… I can tell you his armor is very rusty this year because he’s got no one polishing it at night time. So he’s getting even dirtier this time.”
Aiden Gillen, who plays Littlefinger, who runs the women and the money down at King’s Landing: You can expect a “bit of scheming, bit of plate spinning, but the fact is, states, they fall without people like Littlefinger there anyway, so it’s not all bad. Littlefinger isn’t really a villain… [He’’ be] scheming dreaming, getting on with things.”
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau said Jaime Lannister is hoping to free himself from being Brienne of Tarth’s prisoner: “He wants to get back [to King’s Landing], and he doesn’t like to be in chains… At this point, he just wants to get rid of her.”
Esme Bianco, who plays Ros, the prostitute and businesswoman who runs the girls in Littlefinger’s brothel: “She’s got an intriguing story this season, so you’re gonna see her dig in a little deeper. I’m not gonna give too much away, but she gets involved.”
John Bradley said Samwell Tarly may have an ace up his sleeve in the battle beyond The Wall: “There are certain discoveries that have been made by Sam and the other Night’s Watch guys, that have been made for a reason and they’re just not additional things to bring up.”
Carice Van Houten, who plays Melisandre, the Red Priestess, hinted that the woman who gave birth to a shadow baby in Season 2 that slayed Renly Baratheon, will be up to her old tricks: She’s got “some nasty stuff!”
