Games Of Thrones’ Kit Harington On Season 4: ‘More Deaths, Plenty Of Sex’

“Games of Thrones” Season 3 was a rough one for Jon Snow, and Kit Harington says life isn’t going to get much better for his rugged character in Season 4!

AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman caught up with the actor at the 2013 Emmys, where Kit explained how fans will find Jon (whose face was attacked by a bird of prey and body was riddled with arrows at the hand of his former lover, wilding Ygritte, during Season 3) when the show returns.

“My face is not OK. It’s far from OK! I have to have scars this season,” he told Laura, when asked if his lovely visage escaped unharmed. “Then obviously I’ve been shot in the back with arrows, so, that hurt.

“He’s a bit in the wars, old Jon Snow. And it doesn’t get any easier this season,” he continued. “It’s kind of high-octane, action-packed.”

Kit will start the season with two large eagle-induced facial scars, but will eventually wind up with one lasting reminder of the warg attack.

“I’m asking to keep one of [the scars]. In the books he’s got a scar that runs (down his face), and so [one] side is going to disappear, but on [one] side I’m gonna have a scar,” he said. “I thought that would look quite sexy. They’re quite sexy if done in the right way.”

And for fans still reeling from the infamous Red Wedding episode, Kit said the carnage is just beginning in Westeros.

“[There will be ]more deaths this season than any other! I can’t tell you who dies,” he said. “You’d think they’d tone the deaths down, but they don’t.”

Adding, “They’ve realized that’s a successful option, so they’re just killing more people than they’ve ever killed.”

As for Jon Snow’s love life, Kit said, “Love? In ‘Game of Thrones’? Really? You think they’d be that nice?!”

There will be, however, “plenty of sex,” according to Kit. And the fiery relationship between him and Ygritte may not be doomed just yet.

“Me and Rose, who plays Ygritte, we’re as close to a love story as you get in the show,” he said. “You have to follow that up and see what happens this season.”
