Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood Celebrate Anniversary At McDonald’s

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood celebrated their fourth anniversary under the golden arches.

According to People, the country couple opted for a casual bite to eat at McDonald’s when it came time to celebrate their fourth year of marriage.

“That was our anniversary dinner,” Garth told reporters of the fast food anniversary meal on Friday at Wynn Las Vegas, before playing an acoustic set that included his songs, “The River” and “Shameless,” and songs by Bob Seger, James Taylor and George Strait.

The 47-year-old country star – who is about to start a five-year run of shows in Las Vegas – said the idea of McDonald’s on their special night was a last minute idea.

“We had a big night planned and at the last minute they moved the youngest one’s Christmas carol program to that night,” Brooks said. “I promised them a big, fancy dinner, but we went and grabbed McDonald’s fries and went home.”

Garth and Trisha were married in 2005.
