Gavin DeGraw has been released from a New York-area hospital, a rep for the musician confirmed to Access Hollywood.
DeGraw, the singer behind the hit “I Don’t Want To Be,” was hospitalized on Sunday after he was attacked by a group of men in New York City.
“Hi my friends,” the singer Tweeted on Tuesday. “Honestly, I don’t remember much. I only know I can recover from here. Thank u all for your genuine concern. I love u guys.”
Following the incident, which authorities are still investigating, DeGraw was taken to NYC’s Bellevue Hospital.
“Gavin DeGraw is currently recovering and in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital where he was taken late Sunday night by ambulance after he was attacked by a group of assailants,” his rep said in an earlier statement to Access Hollywood.
“He suffers from a concussion, broken nose, black eyes, cuts and bruises. The police are conducting an investigation of the attack,” the statement continued. “Gavin and his family appreciate everyone’s concern at this time.”
DeGraw has since had to cancel a concert on Tuesday in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and an appearance on “Live! With Regis & Kelly.”
