Geena Davis To Play Bounty Hunter For TNT Drama In Development

Geena Davis could be heading back to television.

On Thursday night, TNT confirmed it had ordered a pilot starring the Oscar-winner.

If picked up by the network, the project, which is currently untitled, would feature Geena as “an unconventional bail bondswoman and bounty hunter whose eccentric personality and unusual tactics give her an advantage in a tough and unpredictable business,” TNT said in a release.

The show is inspired by Mackenzie Green, a real life, pint-sized, bounty hunter, who was previously profiled by The New Yorker. (Click HERE to read that story.)

Amy Berg (Director, “West of Memphis”) and Dean Devlin (Executive Producer, “Leverage”) would be the project’s showrunners. They would also executive produce the series with John Altschuler, Dave Krinsky, Tom Lassally and Michael Rotenberg.

Geena previously starred in “Commander in Chief” from 2005-2006, and more recently the “Coma” mini-series on A&E.
