George Clooney Admits To Father, Piers Morgan, He Won’t Marry Again

George Clooney will not be marrying his Italian model girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, but he also won’t be marrying anyone else.

“I hate to blow your whole news story, but I was married,” George said in an interview on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” which aired on Friday, when asked by his father Nick (who appeared alongside the actor) about considering marriage.”Yeah, so I’ve proven how good I was at it, and I just. … I’m allowed one.”

The 48-year-old actor/philanthropist was married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993, but the union ended in divorce.

Talia currently plays Mona Sterling on “Mad Men” (the ex-wife of ad man Roger Sterling, played by John Slattery). John Slattery and Talia are a couple off-screen, having been married since 1998.

The 51-year-old brunette can also be seen playing Natalie Portman’s mother in the romantic comedy “No Strings Attached,” co-starring Ashton Kutcher, in theaters now.

During the interview, George, who appeared via satellite (his dad was in studio), Piers also asked the human rights crusader about why he never ran for office.

“My job is as good as it gets, why would you change that,” George told Piers. “Why would anyone want to be in that position?

“I don’t have anyone else I have to answer to,” he added. “I get to say, ‘here’s what I think.’”
