George Clooney ‘Happy’ Ryan Reynolds Crowned ‘Sexiest’ & Not Brad Pitt

George Clooney – a two-time “Sexiest Man Alive” — was glad to see the People magazine honor go to Ryan Reynolds this year.

“I’m very happy for him,” George told the mag at a humanitarian awards dinner, where he accepted the Ripple of Hope Award at the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights in New York City on Wednesday.

“I’m also happy that it’s not Brad [Pitt],” George joked.

The 49-year-old actor was even more pleased to accept his own award.

“It’s really a lovely thing,” he explained. “I feel over-honored, but I’m happy to be able to do it to bring attention to a lot of other people here.”

As for any future political aspirations, the actor joked about why he won’t be running for President.

“Because I don’t have the ties for it,” he said.

The Oscar winner was joined by girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis and father Nick Clooney at the awards dinner.
