George Lopez & Eva Longoria On Life After The Conclusion Of Their Shows & Hosting The Alma Awards

George Lopez and Eva Longoria are teaming up to host the Alma Awards as the show returns to television for the first time in two years, but the pair have something else in common – the conclusion of their television shows.

George’s “Lopez Tonight” ended its run on TBS just last week and Eva’s “Desperate Housewives” will conclude on ABC at the end of the 2011-2012 television season, and the two opened up to Access Hollywood about their post-show plans.

“Well, George is going to be playing a lot of golf,” Eva said.

“I am, and working on my tan. Vital,” the funnyman added.

“You need to work on your tan?” Eva asked.

“I spray [tanned] for years, so I’m going to let that go away and I’m going to be working on my deep base,” George explained, tongue-in-cheek. “But there’s always things for us to do and we’re always very creative and it is exciting.”

As for the Alma Awards, which take place on Sept. 16 in Los Angeles, the two are looking forward to teaming up.

“I love working with her, I would do anything with her,” George said of Eva, one of his final “Lopez Tonight” guests, alongside Arsenio Hall. “The last time we had a great time together and I can’t believe it’s been two years since the last time we did it, but it’ll be fun this year. There’s a lot of things to cover.”

Eva is ready to go with the celebration that honors Latinos in media and the arts, but she warns the person on the “bleep” button should be ready.

“I love hosting with George cause you never know what’s going to come out of his mouth so we have the beep–the censor button ready,” she laughed.

The Alma Awards air Friday, Sept. 16 at 8/7 C on NBC.
