Geri Halliwell: ‘The Spice Girls Are Now Spice Women’

Rehearsals for the December reunion tour of the Spice Girls are in full swing and according to a new blog post by Geri “Ginger” Halliwell, Girl Power is the strongest it has ever been.

“Let me tell you, the Spice Girls are now Spice Women – full, sensual and stronger through their life experiences,” Geri posted in a blog on the group’s official Web site. “It’s fantastic to be around the humor, and although the pressure is on, being part of a group is a wonderful thing. I receive a lot of support and encouragement from the other girls.”

Though the tabloids regularly dish out reports suggesting there’s fighting going in the Spice camp, Geri said, the girls — sorry Geri, women — are only growing closer.

“I’ve gotta tell you, it’s been the most wonderful experience being back in Spice World. I love being part of a group and I feel this experience has done exactly what I had hoped. It has reunited us and made our friendship stronger,” Geri wrote. “We have a bond that we will share for the rest of our lives.”

In fact, the Spices are doing a good job of sharing their decisions according to Ginger one.

“We are definitely a democracy. Every morning we check in with each other and we discuss the decisions that have to be made,” she blogged.

Another thing the girls are bonding over? — All their little ones.

“Beau is sitting opposite me on Emma’s lap, giving a smile,” Geri wrote about Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton’s new arrival.

“Cruz has been looking for a pump to blow up his rocket,” she typed about Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham’s littlest.

And as for their tour… while Geri didn’t spill many beans on that subject, she did say that their singing is coming along nicely.

“We’re working hard and it’s like we’ve never been apart. I really like it when we’re singing in harmony with the band,” she wrote. “It’s funny that ten years on each of us still remembers our harmony lines. It’s like riding a bike – you just don’t forget. It’s like it’s ingrained in us.”
