Get Ready For Betty! White’s ‘SNL’ Preps Kick Into High Gear

The countdown is officially on until Betty White goes “live from New York” to host “Saturday Night Live.”

Luckily for the former “Golden Girl” – who will run through her first official rehearsal on Thursday — she still has a little bit more time to get to know her castmates.

“I have to say, you look amazing. You’re as sharp as a tack and you haven’t missed a beat over the years,” Kristen Wiig tells Betty in a new “SNL” promo.

“Well, you’re very sweet Jay-Z,” Betty replies, confusing Kristen with the night’s musical guest.

While some stars have a lifelong goal of making it to the “SNL” stage, for Betty, it wasn’t necessarily a childhood aspiration.

“Is this something you dreamed about when you were a little girl?” Kristen asks her in a separate promo.

“I was 63 when ‘Saturday Night Live’ went on,” a smug Betty barbs, followed by her exclamation of “Holla!”

Access Hollywood caught up with “SNL” stars Seth Meyers and Andy Samberg at Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential gala in New York City on Tuesday night to talk about bringing the TV legend on board.

“Her comic timing is so incredible. She’s amazing,” Seth told Access. “To write for her is a dream come true.”

Many hosts have joined Andy for his Digital Shorts – so will Betty be one of them?

“The week is young, so don’t count it out,” he smiled.

As far as what fans can expect when Betty takes the stage – along with guest appearances by “SNL” alums Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer and Rachel Dratch for the Mother’s Day special – Betty said clothing will not be optional – at least, for the most part.

“Very little nudity,” she joked with the “Today” show’s Meredith Vieira on Monday morning. “Just a little, you know, here and there… mostly here!”
