Girl Meets World: Danielle Fishel Teases ‘Very Special Guest’ Seen In Pilot

When the pilot for “Girl Meets World” airs on The Disney Channel, star Danielle Fishel says
“Boy Meets World” fans are going to be thrilled by a surprise cameo.

“There is a very, very, very, special guest star in the pilot,” Danielle – who was ranked number 27 on Maxim’s Hot 100 list – told Access Hollywood at the Maxim Hot 100 event in Los Angeles on Wednesday. “So when the pilot episode airs, you will have something to look forward to for sure.

“Trust me – people will know,” she added with a smile. “The big fans will know what I’m talking about.”

The 32-year-old beauty, known for her role as the beloved Topanga Lawrence on “Boy Meets World,” said shooting the highly-anticipated spinoff show was “amazing.”

“I think my favorite part was just being back on set with Ben Savage [Cory Matthews] and [producer] Michael Jacobs,” she said. “Just being back with a lot of our same crew, and some new cast but also some old cast, was phenomenal. It’s just the most awesome experience you could ask for!”

Danielle said the “GMW” crew is still waiting to hear whether The Disney Channel will pick up the show (they filmed the pilot in March).

“As much as you’re hoping [it gets picked up], I’m hoping,” she said. “We’re waiting right now to get the official word from Disney and we’re hoping that we get to start sometime soon.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, “Girl Meets World” centers around Cory, Topanga – now married – and their 13-year-old daughter, Riley.

William Daniels will reprise his role as Mr. Feeny in the pilot, while former “Sister, Sister” star Jackee Harry also makes an appearance.
