I am beyond happy about that because I wear jeans all the time. People StyleWatch breaks down the six styles of jeans that are perfect for any occasion.

Casual Night: Faded

“A pair of faded jeans—that lighten on the thigh and whisker at the knee—are perfect for a casual night out,” says Kate Dimmock, fashion director, People StyleWatch. They look effortlessly chic. Look for a medium wash to subtly show off the fading.

Party Look: Moto

“When hitting a party, try a moto jean,” says Dimmock. “They are a fitted jean with a bit of stretch, and with great details like ribbing and stitching, it’s the perfect sexy vibe.”

Weekend Brunch: Patchwork

“Patchwork denim is a great vintage inspired look, says Dimmock. “The jeans are relaxed, but on trend with carefully crafted patches that add nice texture. Great for a weekend brunch!”

Date Night: Classic Black 

“Black skinnies [like Sharkira above!] are your best bet for a date night out,” says Dimmock. “They go with anything and look super stylish. Look for a higher waist fit, for a more modern look.”

Work Style: Flare

Grab a fitted flare jean for your go-to work style. With its streamlined silhouette, it looks great with heels and polished enough for a creative office. Look for dark washes to keep it more sophisticated.

Trendy night with friends: Coated

“Coated jeans have a leather-like finish that feel very of the moment,” says Dimmock. This is a great on-trend look for hitting the newest hot spot in town. They look polished and fun! Every gal should add some coated denim to their wardrobe.
