Glam Slam: Chrissy Teigen’s Hair How-To

Chrissy Teigen is all over the place, thanks to scoring Sports Illustrated’s coveted swimsuit cover, along with models Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge. Look how gorgeous she is at last night’s SI event (pictured, right)!

While most guys are checking out her body these days, I like her bubbly personality and cute style. I am all about her braids she rocked at the 2014 Grammys (pictured, left)!

Braids have never been more popular and Bruce Kushnick, stylist at New York’s Patrick Melville Salon, shows how you can get the look of three celeb styles.

Chrissy Teigen:
This style works easy on wavy hair. If your hair is straight or very curly you can use a curling iron of 1 1/4 inches to curl the hair from the eyes down to the end of the hair. Then just do a small French braid to the small side starting at the temple down to your ear. French braid means you start with a three stranded braid but add a section from the lower bottom into the front strand as you go down to the ear. Here it was done for times.

Face shape is not a factor for this hair style.

Katy Perry:
Bring all your hair into a high pony Tail secure with an elastic band. Separate about 25 percent from the bottom and braid it secure with a small elastic, then wrap around the base of the main ponytail securing with a couple of bobby pins. Braid the main section and secure it with an elastic. For thicker braids each of the three strands of the braids can be backcombed a little.

This hairstyle works well best with very symmetrical faces. This is a good hair style for medium to thick hair.

Selena Gomez:
The one-sided loose fishtail braid is done without an elastic to secure the beginning of the pony tail. Just bring all the hair together on one side of you face and divide it into two sections. While holding both sections with one hand take about 10 percent of the outside of the rear section and bring it around and under the inner section, then repeat with the other hand. Hold both sections with the other hand and again take the outside 10 percent of the section and bring it around itself and under the other section incorporating it into it. Keep going until the end and secure with an elastic. Pull some pieces out to create a messier look.

This hair style is good for every face shape adjusting the messiness to your liking. For really straight hair use a little hair spray to get it to hold.
