Access Hollywood produced the live Primetime Emmy Pre-show, so I had an awesome view of all the action from the comfort of our air conditioned control booth! That’s the way to go! All I was missing was a bowl of popcorn and a glass of wine! Here are the night’s standout style moments.
BEST DRESSED
Kerry Washington killed it, showing off her fab post-baby body in a unique orange double silk strapless column Prada gown with blue, green and clear micro-bead enriched edges. The high slit revealed an underlying navy mini skirt embroidered with crystals and paillettes. The actress finished the look with navy satin pumps and a navy satin clutch, both by Prada. She told us it was her “homage to ‘Orange is the New Black.’ I love those girls. I’m a big fan of the show.” And I’m a big fan of Kerry’s look – I love that she took a chance and didn’t go with the typical big gown.

BIGGEST RISKTAKER
Not many people go for short dresses on the Emmy red carpet, but Julia Roberts owned it, putting her sexy, toned legs on display! I love her navy Elie Saab embellished gown with matching navy pumps and long, natural looking hair and makeup. Julia always does it her way and her personal style really shines through.

WHITE HOT
Sophia Vergara knows what works for her body and she looked sexy in a beautiful gown that emphasized her tiny waist while showing off her curves. The white gown, with flattering metallic accents, fit the actress like a glove. Sleek and chic.

MOST ELEGANT EMBELLISHED
I loved Taylor Schilling’s pale grey Zuhair Murad Couture gown. The halter-neck gown featured a draped back and low cut sides. Taylor told us tape was definitely involved to keep everything in place! The gown’s Art Deco style beading is exquisite and the color looked beautiful against her porcelain skin. Classic and sophisticated!

BIGGEST TREND
There were 50 shades of red on the red carpet… including Julia Louis Dreyfuss in Carolina Herrera, Octavia Spencer in Tadashi, January Jones in Prabul Gurung and Minnie Driver in Marchesa to name a few. But my favorite was Heidi Klum in Zac Posen. The ‘camelia’ satin and crepe gown is from the Resort 2015 Collection. Pretty and ultra- feminine.
