Glam Slam: Golden Globes Style — Monday Morning Quarterbacking

Every year I say the same thing… the Golden Globes is my favorite award show.

This year was no exception.

It’s the chillest, most fun show and it’s awesome to be right in the middle of all the action on the red carpet as the stars make their way up to our platform.

Being right there is also a great way to really check out who is wearing what. I try to take photos of as many stars as I can so everyone can check out their fashion on Facebook, but to be honest, most of my photos turn out blurry, so I’m not sure how helpful they are!

Black is always a red carpet staple and there were some gorgeous dresses, but for me, I was loving the bright color we saw this year on the red carpet. Jessica Alba rocked coral Oscar de la Renta and despite having the flu, Jennifer Lawrence stunned in red Dior. Both were knockouts!

Marion Cotillard also looked lovely in red Dior and red was the color for Claire Danes. From her sexy, plunging Atelier Versace gown you’d never know she’s just had a baby!

I also thought Anne Hathaway looked elegant and chic in her strapless beaded white Chanel gown from the Spring/Summer 2009 Haute Couture collection. Pale shades were also a big trend with everyone from Amy Adams to Megan Fox going the blush route.

Jennifer Lopez wore an ivory lace and beaded nude gown by Zuhair Murad and I must confess that I had an excellent shot of her world famous booty as she did interviews on our platform. I considered taking a photo of it, you know, just for posterity’s sake (ha ha)…but had second thoughts figuring that might be kind of rude. Casper was with her and he’s a little shorter than I imagined, but cute nonetheless.

A lot of people are talking about Sienna Miller and ripping her Erdem gown with crop top and neon floral detailing, and I admit I liked it better in person than I do in photos. It’s not your everyday red carpet gown at all. It’s unique and fun and “very Sienna.”

We must discuss the men. Oh yes. That Robert Pattinson is too cute. Bradley Cooper — can we talk about his hair? It’s just too good. Hugh Jackman is a total stud. Clooney’s still as dapper as ever and Ben Affleck is the man. He’s very tall in person and quite charming. So excited that he won and he couldn’t have been more gracious in our on-on-one room backstage.

So that was my day. Surrounded by gorgeous fashions and gorgeous men. It’s a cliché, but I love my job. I sure do.
