Glam Slam: ‘Golden’ Style Preview

“Remember, every actress who tries on a dress, probably has 40 others to try on before she chooses the right one,” says “What Not To Wear’s” Stacy London.

Wow, that’s a lot to choose from! If only we all had that problem! Stacy breaks down which trends we are going to see on the Globes red carpet.

“There will be some SHORT DRESSES, because the Golden Globes is sort of a lighter award show, rather than the heavy Academy Awards. You will see some color, but I think you’ll see a lot of reversion to NEUTRALS, simply because that’s more appropriate in an economic downturn. BLACK is back for sure and definitely, you’re going to see STRAPLESS and some ONE-SHOULDER looks as well.”

And here is what Stacy would love to see some Globes-bound stars wearing this weekend:

BEYONCE
“Beyonce takes the cake when it comes to being adventurous. When she hits the red carpet you know you’re in for something special. Instead of skin tight, go for something flowy, go for something feminine. This is really going to step up her game a little bit and change her image a little bit.”

MILEY CYRUS
“I think it’s very tricky for somebody like Miley Cyrus. She’s 16 years old. You want her to look age appropriate. I completely recommend color and I think she should go short. She’s got awesome legs, she can have fun with that.”

TINA FEY
“She’s played it very, very safe on the red carpet. Tina, please, Tina, wear a color! If I can’t convince her to wear a color, and she hangs on to black, do black with shine, do black with texture, do black with embellishment and I think that will make the difference between the dresses that she’s worn previously and a dress for this season.”
