He’s the world’s most famous 1-year-old! His every move and every milestone make headlines. He cries! He eats! He burps! He walks! He’s a baby, people!
But, I admit I do enjoy hearing about Prince George and watching him grow up. Kate and I were pregnant at the same time and even shared the same due date. Prince George ended up coming a week later than our daughter… they seem to be hitting all the same milestones at the same time though.

I love how his parents are changing things up as far as the way royals are raised. They both appear to be very hands-on, which is a far cry from previous royal babies. They are also very media savvy as far as how much exposure they let the public have of George.
We get a glimpse into his life…but just enough…not too much.
I never feel like he’s being overexposed. His parents try to keep things as real and normal as possible. They don’t want him to get spoiled, and in fact, for his birthday he got old school wooden toys!
In April, George embarked on his first Royal Tour, as the family headed to Australia. His play date was covered extensively, as was a visit to the zoo. That month, Google searches for the 9-month-old skyrocketed to more than 1.5 million compared to 10,000 searches during other months. We are all George obsessed!
That goes for his fashion, too. Naturally, George is already a style setter, which is not really a surprise considering everything his mom Kate wears sells out. He too has the same impact with shoes and overalls selling out.
Why is everyone so smitten with Prince George? After all, there are millions of cute babies. He’s adorable yes…and during this day and age when we are bombarded with so many bad things happening in the world, it’s nice to experience a feel good story.
