Glam Slam: Hold On To Your Hats

Believe it or not spring is still 51 days away!

With chilly weather continuing to slam the nation (many states are facing a major winter ice storm today), hats are a must for coping with the cold and staying chic at the same time.

The slouchy knit beret is the hat to be seen in this year and is very versatile. Dress it down with jeans or up with a dress and tights.

Anne Hathaway wore a blue one to President Barack Obama’s Inauguration festivities, while Miley Cyrus stayed warm with a white one at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Also loving the winter white: Katie Holmes! While in New York performing on Broadway in “All My Sons,” Mrs. Tom Cruise practically never left home without a cute cap.

Katie’s choice? The off-white Benny Beanie by Hurley.

Not only is the accessory adorable, it’s also affordable — only $28 at www.hurley.com.

Cameron Diaz and Katherine Heigl are also fans of the Hurley beret, while Ashley Tisdale requested one in every color!

Also hot on the hat scene this year? The 1920s style cloche hats, which have made a big comeback!

Leave it to Angelina to help inspire a trend — she wore the flapper-era accessory (which to me screams old Hollywood glamour), throughout her Oscar nominated turn in the period film “Changeling.”

Nicole Richie has been snapped wearing the throwback topper. And spotted! The impeccably dressed Blair Waldorf wore the cloche style on “Gossip Girl.”

You know it’s big when it’s on the trendiest TV show around. Channel your inner “Changeling” with a variety of versions at www.hatattack.com.

And stay warm!
