The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards often bring out the kid in everyone when it comes to style. It’s one Hollywood event where the stars can really have fun with their fashion and funky and flirty looks rule.
Hot Mama Jada Pinkett Smith showed off her toned legs in hot black shorts with edgy Balmain high heels. (In fact, the entire Smith family was so perfectly coordinated, it looked like they just walked out of a magazine shoot!) Rihanna accessorized her peach Christian Dior mini dress with opaque ankle socks.
Color dominated the orange carpet. Selena Gomez stood out in her draped pale yellow Christian Cota mini. Love her loosely braided hair!
Victoria Justice was sleek in her silky emerald green Malandrino, while ‘iCarly’ star Miranda Cosgrove went with a maroon strapless mini. Keke Palmer was festive in an embellished multi-colored dress, which reminded me a bit of gumballs! ‘Glee’s’ Lea Michele wore bubblegum pink Zac Posen and Tyra Banks worked a form fitting coral Daryl K. dress, which she paired with bold mustard colored heels and clutch.
“It’s black and that’s all I know,” laughed Demi Lovato about her ebony mini. The young fans were going wild for Justin Bieber, who also wore all black. He added a jolt of color with his bright neon yellow-green high tops. Favorite Movie Actress Winner Miley Cyrus went rocker chic with a long sheer white sleeveless tee and black leggings and booties.
As you would expect, the Jonas brothers did their signature dapper thing, while Taylor Lautner was casual cool in jeans. ‘Avatar’s’ Zoe Saldana paired her jeans with a gorgeous tweed Isabel Marant jacket… Highly covetable! (Most of the mini’s I could never pull off, but this, I would actually wear!!!)
Maybe Katy Perry didn’t get the memo that this is the KIDS’ Choice Awards. The plunging, VERY short sparkly outfit by The Blonds that she wore on the carpet seemed more appropriate for a Vegas showgirl.
I will say though, that she was an extremely good sport when she got slimed onstage… HARD! Laugh out loud funny if you haven’t seen it!
