Glam Slam: Makeup Mondays – Fake Perfect Skin!

You know them. The ladies with the seriously perfect skin — Cate Blanchett, Kate Winslet, Halle Berry, Nicole Kidman. Most of us aren’t naturally blessed with complexion perfection, but that doesn’t mean we can’t fake it! Celebrity makeup artist and founder of her own makeup line, Trish McEvoy is here to help! Trish, who has worked with plenty of ladies with gorgeous skin including Jennifer Aniston, Salma Hayek and Reese Witherspoon, reveals how to deal with and conceal some of the most common skin issues.

AGE SPOTS
First treat the skin and then cover up. Apply Vitamin C Cream nightly to fade out the spots. Then, to cover up, apply powder or cream foundation that is a shade lighter than skin tone to exact spots with a pinpoint brush such as our Brush 44 Precision Concealer. Blend, then apply foundation or powder in skin matching shade to skin carefully not to disturb your handiwork.

ACNE
First use treatment products such as our Glycolic Wash and Even Skin Beta Hydroxy Pads. Use products that will give coverage and not aggravate your skin condition. I love working with my Mineral Powder – Correct & Brighten Loose Mineral Powder, it covers while soothing the skin. The key is using the correct brush to cover the blemish. Use a cotton swab to buff out the edges of your application.

UNEVEN SKIN TONE
Everyone wants even skin. How to get it? Look in a mirror and banish hallows and darkness with my Correct and Brighten pen. Use the sheerest foundation that will still afford coverage. Apply with a brush for the best results. Use a Professional Powder Puff to buff down the foundation. Use a light Translucent Finishing Powder at the end to set your work.
