Glam Slam: Makeup Mondays — Get Jennifer Grey’s ‘Dancing’ Beauty

Not only is Jennifer Grey the one to beat on “Dancing with the Stars,” every week she redefines what a 50, yes 50!, year old looks like.

Her makeup accentuates her youthful glow and the show’s head makeup designer, Melanie Mills, shares how she achieved Jennifer Grey’s look for last Monday’s episode.

“For Jennifer’s tango, I wanted to go as extreme as possible,” Melanie says.“It’s all about the dark eye.” Jennifer had her brows waxed and shaped at famed brow salon Anastasia in Los Angeles (outside the LA area, you can achieve the same effect with Anastasia’s Kit for Perfect Brows and Eyes, $75, Sephora).

I shaped and filled in her brow with Anastasia’s Brow Wiz in Medium Ash ($20, Anastasia.net) then I set her brows with Anastasia’s Clear Brow Gel. The eyebrow was then finished off with Anastasia’s Brow Duality pencil in Matte Camille ($23, Sephora.com). The pencil was used to fill in her brow and blended in.

For her eyelid, I used Julie Hewett’s Hue Color in Rue Burgundy, a metallic burgundy color ($10, Amazon.com), with MAKE UP FOR EVER’s Loose Pigment Powder blended with M.A.C.‘s Pigment powder in Dark Soul, a deep grey ($19.50, maccosmetics.com).

To finish the eyes, she has 2 pairs of lashes on, lined on the inside with M.A.C.‘s Fluidline gel liner in Blacktrack ($15, maccosmetics.com).

Dior Bronze ‘Original Tan’ Bronzing Powder ($43, Nordstroms.com) was applied to cheeks. I finished off the look by applying Kevyn Aucoin’s Flesh Tone Lip Pencil in Bare ($24, barneys.com) with Girlactik Beauty Star Gloss ($16, girlactik.com).”
