Glam Slam: Makeup Mondays — The Five Minute Face

New York Fashion Week is in full swing and if you’ve ever been backstage, it can be a lot of fun with champagne flowing and DJs playing loud music, but it can be total madness and chaos! There are dozens of models running around who need to get their hair, makeup and clothes done in no time flat!

Stila Celebrity Makeup Artist Sarah Lucero has worked countless shows including Chloe, Marchesa, Betsey Johnson and Vena Cava. She just did the BCBG show where she and her team created the makeup for 20 models…with only five minutes to spend on each girl. If anybody knows how to get runway ready in just moments, it’s Sarah!

Now, Sarah, who has worked with Victoria Beckham, Katherine Heigl and Kerry Washington, shares her Five Tips for a Five-Minute Face.

TIP 1: MULTITASK!
Two-in-one products are old news. To maximize time backstage, it’s about four-in-one multi-taskers! For a flawless face fast, use Stila One Step Makeup. www.stilacosmetics.com It’s a primer, foundation, concealer and powder in one – so it maximizes time. The formula is very easy to blend and is extremely long wearing. It creates a smooth and velvet finish on all skin types so anyone can have supermodel skin.

TIP 2: EYES FIRST THEN FACE
Apply your eye makeup before you apply your foundation so you don’t have to redo it if anything drips. Sarah likes Stila Smudge Pots for eyes using as both a liner and shadow.

TIP 3: GLOWING SKIN IS ALWAYS IN STYLE
On the runway and red carpet, great glowing skin is always a must. To get gorgeous, natural skin without looking dewy all over, apply shimmer only on cheekbones and at the inner corners of your eyes.

TIP 4: IT’S ALL ABOUT THE LASHES
For a softer lash look, apply brown mascara at the base of your lashes and black mascara just at the tips. It will give eyes a dreamy look and emphasize the ends of your lashes.

TIP 5: KEEP LIPS LOOKING LUSCIOUS
Neutralize your natural lip color by blending foundation over the edges of the lips before applying lipstick. It will make the finished lip color look true to the shade you see in the tube. Sara likes Stila Cherry Crush Lip & Cheek Stain.
