Glam Slam: Makeup Mondays — The Michael Kors Edition

Designer and “Project Runway” Judge Michael Kors is adding even more to his already packed resume. He teamed up with Estee Lauder for his very first makeup line called “Very Hollywood.”

Estee Lauder Global Makeup Stylist Rick DiCecca, who has worked with “Mad Men” star January Jones, Gwyneth Paltrow and Elizabeth Hurley, shares tips for creating some sexy looks with the Estée Lauder Michael Kors Very Hollywood collection.

THE LOOK: UBER ‘60S FILM STAR
CELEB INSPIRATION: JANUARY JONES

Start with the light beige in the Blonde Mink Eyeshadow Duo and sweep over the entire eye to create a luminous base. Next blend the deeper, chocolate brown along the upper and lower lashes, buffing out any lines, to create a smudgy eye. Using the Sepia Eye Pencil draw a line across the upper lashes and extend out slightly for that coveted winged eye-look and finish with a generous application of TurboLash All Effects Motion Mascara in Black.

To create sensuous definition on the cheeks, lightly dust the Sunset Coral Blush onto the apples of the cheeks and follow with the Shimmering Loose Power for an amazing, natural glow.

Lastly, finish the look with the Honey Blonde Lip Sheen SPF 15 to keep lips protected and layer the Lip Gloss in Honey Blonde for a sexy, understated pout that gives the eyes all the attention.

THE LOOK: SMOLDERING GLOW
CELEB INSPIRATION: J.LO

One of my favorite tips is to dab a generous amount of concealer on the back of my hand and smudge in an eye pencil. This gives amazing lasting power to the makeup and creates a new, fabulous texture. Using the Sepia Eye Pencil and your concealer mix together and apply to eyelids with your finger tips, blending upwards towards the crease. Next, using the Blonde Mink Eyeshadow Duo sweep the darker shade over the lid and buff into the crease to soften the line and create a dramatic look. Brush the lighter shade under the brow bone and finish with mascara for a high-impact look that any starlet would love.

To get J.Lo’s signature glowing skin, dust the Shimmering Loose Powder down the center of the face and brushing the Sunset Coral Blush from the apple of your cheeks to your hairline.

Finish with Oscar-worthy lips that have a slight shimmer. Apply the Lip Sheen SPF 15 in Hollywood Gold and for a high shine, fuller look swipe on the Lip Gloss in Hollywood Gold.

THE LOOK: DIVA GLAM
CELEB INSPIRATION: BEYONCE

Using the same eyeshadow trick above, mix the Film Noir Eye Pencil and your concealer and pat over the entire eyelid with your finger, softly blending up towards the crease. Then sweep the lighter shade in the Night Star Eyeshadow Duo over the eye area from your lashes up to your brow bone. Line and smudge the Film Noir Eye Pencil and finish with mascara for dramatic, ultra-glam eyes.

Lightly dust the Shimmering Loose Powder over the face, shoulders and decollete and apply a soft application of the Sunset Pink Blush to the cheekbones for a pop of color that doesn’t take away from the eyes.

Finish with the Lip Sheen SPF 15 in Starlet Rose and the Lip Gloss in Hollywood Gold and you are ready for the red carpet!
