Glam Slam: New Year’s Eve Hair Inspiration

Three more days until New Year’s Eve. You’ve got the date, the place, the dress and the makeup. Now it’s time for the hair!

Fekkai Stylist, Adir Abergel, who has worked with Anne Hathaway, Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Garner, gives tips for creating two different New Year’s Eve styles.

“A wonderful style for a great night out should be simple and stress free. This is what I call the Sienna Miller relaxed ‘70s bohemian waves.

Start out by applying some Fekkai Bouffant to roots, dry hair using a round brush. My favorite round brush is Ibiza natural boar bristle medium size.

Once I am done blow-drying the hair, I part the hair in the middle and from mid shaft to ends I take a 1” curling iron and curl the hair going away from the face.

Once you completely curled all hair, remembering to just curl from mid shaft to ends. Now hand rake your hair using a little Fekkai Nonchalant on your hands and break up the style for a more relaxed vibe.”

Now for the up-do:

“This is a classic low, side-parted ponytail with volume and wave on ends. Very modern and looks great on anyone.

I like to start by parting the hair in a deep side parting; a great trick is to follow the arch of your brow.

Dry hair with a round brush and some Fekkai Full Blown Volume to create some body at roots. Once done, make sure you have a great clean side parting and pull hair into a low ponytail, just at the nape, not too tight. You want the front to look relaxed and not so severe.

You can use some Fekkai Magnifique for the flyaways in front.

Finish by taking the hair in ponytail and curl with a 1” iron for a full sexy ponytail.

For all night hold use Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray. This is modern and chic up-do without being too serious.”
