Glam Slam: The Friday Five! (Oct. 24, 2008)

Here is what is on our radar this week…

1. SCHOOL’S IN SESSION
After what seems like months of hype, “HSM 3” is (finally!) here. Even Access Hollywood’s Film Critic Scott Mantz, who admits he’s more of a “Dark Knight/Iron Man” kinda guy, loved it, saying the film is “upbeat, charming and clean-cut and hard to resist.”

2. BRAND NEW BAG
Hollywood’s got a brand new bag… and Fergie, Rihanna and Lauren Conrad all have it! It seems fitting to talk about One October bags…. in October! Jennifer Aniston was spotted just last week leaving Tower restaurant with John Mayer carrying her One October “Clara” clutch in black leather and salmon skin.
Shannen Doherty recently wore her green “Joanna” clutch, made of salmon skin and patent leather, on the red carpet.

3. BRAD’S BRAND NEW BABY
No, the Jolie-Pitt bunch hasn’t adopted another baby – at least as of the time I sent this out, they haven’t! But if you haven’t checked out Brad’s latest project you should. He teamed up with Kiehl’s to launch the eco-friendly “Aloe Vera” Biodegradable Liquid Body Cleanser. 100% of net profits help support global environmental initiatives. Clean skin and a clean conscious all at the same time.

4. OLSENS OPEN UP
Mary-Kate and Ashley reveal the people who have inspired them most in their new coffee table book, “Influence.”

They interview a murderer’s row of fashion icons including Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Louboutin and Diane Von Furstenberg. Available now on www.amazon.com.

5. FEEL GOOD FASHION!
Actress Emmy Rossum is helping to raise awareness about breast cancer as the official spokesperson for “PiNKiTUDE,” a marketing initiative inspired by MGM’s Pink Panther. Part of the ” PiNKiTUDE ” campaign includes cute tees by Chaser. Five percent of sales of the fashion line will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
