Happy Third Day of spring! It’s official and I’m so glad we can enjoy and look forward to months of beautiful, warm sunny days. Here are a few of my fashion faves for the season.
Awwwwwww! That’s how I feel whenever I get to ditch stuffy closed toe shoes and break out the sandals. I truly have a sandal obsession and it’s the one type of shoe I buy more than any other. Just make sure you get a great pedicure. No matter what time of year, I always love a dark color like “Chanel Vamp,” but it’s also fun to switch things up and go with bold brights.
Black, grey, oxblood and brown get replaced by happy saturated hues. Pastels are always big for spring; but this year, we also see an abundance of orange, “Kelly green”, fuchsia and yellow, as well as the continued popularity of neons.
Yeah, I know, there’s that old rule that you shouldn’t wear them before Memorial Day(which technically IS in Spring); but here in California where it’s warm and sunny long before that, that rule goes out the window. I’m ready to wear them now.
The happy print is synonymous with spring and this year there are so many choices. Print pants and jeans are big for spring; but if that’s too much for you, go for an accent piece like a clutch bag or scarf.
After months of being covered up in layers, we finally get to break out some cute tees, tanks and dresses. If you don’t want to look pasty, go for a safe tan and do the sunless ‘faux’ glow.
