Glam Slam: The Friday Five — Things To Do In July

Monday kicks off 31 days of summer fun! (Happy Fourth of July everyone!)

Here are a few ways to celebrate the month…

Royal Baby Craze:
Kate Middleton is (supposedly) due July 13 and if you are lucky enough to be in London, a new exhibit at the Museum of London celebrates the history of royal births. “A Royal Arrival” features lots of royal baby memorabilia, including baby clothes (and even a tiny crown!) dating back to the 17th century. Many of the items have never been publicly displayed before. The exhibit runs through October, for more information head to www.museumoflondon.org.uk.

Dapper Depp:
He’s got a style all his own and fans can get their fix of the handsome Johnny Depp when returns to the big screen in time for the big Fourth of July holiday weekend with “The Lone Ranger.” Depp plays Tonto to Armie Hammer’s Lone Ranger. Opens July 3.

Shop For A Cause:
Do good and look cute at the same time! Target teams up with Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity for a limited-edition collection of clothing, accessories and home items. Each purchase of the Feed USA + Target collection helps provides meals for Americans affected by hunger.

Go Tropical!
Get into the summer spirit with “Tropical Taboo,” the latest colour collection from MAC. The Latin-inspired makeup includes vibrant blushes, eye shadows and lipsticks. The lip glosses feature exotic names like Calypso Beat and Fever Isle. Your lips will look utterly kissable just in time for International Kissing Day July 6!

Sizzling Sale:
It’s a yearly tradition- Nordstrom’s Annual Anniversary Sale! The department store always has exclusive beauty buys and this year there are special goodies by Chanel, YSL, and Dior. Start your shopping engines, the sale begins July 19.
