Glam Slam: The Friday Five — Ways To Play Up Your Eyes!

Happy Friday! Looking for some quick ways to change up your beauty look? Go for the eyes, where it’s easy to make a big impact. Here are some easy ways to rev up your eyes, thanks to InStyle.

Master Lashes

Nothing opens up eyes like a long, full fringe! (Check out Kristen Stewart for proof) To make faux friendlier, you can start by dotting then smudging a dark liner along the base of your top lashes to create a line that will disguise the band. Then, cut a strip of lashes in half and place towards the outer corner of the top lid.

Ice Your Cream

Does your A.M. glimpse in the mirror reveal (horror!) dark circles or puffy eyes? Adding a chilled cream to your morning regimen will constrict blood vessels even faster!

Frame ‘Em

Full-brows, a staple on this season’s runways, can draw focus in real life too. To craft your own fuller brows, try a lash and brow enhancing serum, tweeze as little as necessary, and fill in any sparse spots with a brow pencil. Make sure the pencil color is a softer version of your own hair color to avoid looking too harsh!

Go for Gold…Silver

Like a chunky gold necklace or a stack of silver bangles, a few swipes of light-reflecting metallic eyeliner can pull your look together, stat. For green, brown, or hazel eyes use a bronze or copper liner, while those with blue peepers should use gold or silver.

Swing the Blues

Utter perfection: The sultriness of a rich, smoky eye – in a hue no one can ignore. For the latest take on trendy blue eye makeup, start with a cream based navy shadow applied from the lid to just above the crease; for more depth, layer on a second shadow in eggplant or grey, extending it just beyond the outer corner of the eye.
