Yesterday we had a gaggle of gorgeous models on set for our Victoria’s Secret Swimsuit Fashion show, hosted by Victoria’s Secret Angels Candice Swanepoel and Alessandra Ambrosio.
The guys on set were practically giddy with excitement over this. Even my low-key husband asked if we needed any extra help and volunteered his services. “If you need any help wrangling them onto the set or getting them coffee, let me know,” he said to me. Yeah, right, nice try!
As if anyone working on the show would give up getting this close to the ladies! Even I was in awe of just HOW tall these women are. Heidi Klum, Cindy Crawford… they’ve all been here… but these women were AMAZONS (and I mean that in a good way!) I was easily an entire foot shorter than any of them! But that’s why they are MODELS and the rest of us… well, we aren’t!
Of course they all had sick bodies… they are SWIMSUIT models, after all. Some co-workers, who shall remain nameless, could barely get their tongues off the floor; they were literally drooling over these ladies!
Later in the day, my co-worker Susan who produced the segment, joked about working with the models on a group email about upcoming birthday brunch plans.
“I won’t be eating though… After prepping the VS model bikini fashion show this am… I’m officially on a diet AND will be doing extensive research on how to stretch my body from 5’6” to 5’11”. :)” That got big laughs and lead to one of our friends responding:
“Can you please fill me in on how that diet goes for you? I have a wedding in 4 months and I want to look like that model too!”
We are kidding, of course. Luckily for us, we are doing pretty well in the self-esteem department, otherwise being surrounded by hot models could be a problem!
But… if there was ever a reason to envy someone solely on the basis of how smokin’ they look… this was it!
