Glee Casts Puck’s Brother, New Suitor For Rachel

Two new stars are set to join the students and graduates of McKinley High when “Glee” returns to FOX for its fourth season this fall.

On Monday, at the FOX portion of the Television Critics Association summer tour in Beverly Hills, the network announced that actors Dean Geyer and Jacob Artist have joined the musical drama, which premieres September 13 at 9 PM on FOX.

Dean, 26, a veteran of the Australian soap opera “Neighbours,” will play Brody Weston, a new face Lea Michele’s Rachel Berry encounters when she enrolls at NYADA. His character was described by FOX as “a handsome upperclassman who shows an interest in her,” which clearly sets up drama for Rachel and Finn, who are expected to attempt to maintain a long distance relationship.

Jacob, who was in “Blue Lagoon: The Awakening” on Lifetime earlier this summer, will play Jake Puckerman — the younger brother of Mark Salling’s Puck.

Jacob hails from New York and was previously featured in ABC Family’s “Melissa & Joey,” alongside Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence.

As previously reported on , also new to the series this season are Sarah Jessica Parker, who will play the editor of Vogue.com, and Kate Hudson, who will play Cassandra July, Rachel’s dance teacher at NYADA.
