Hayden Panettiere, nominated for “Nashville”: “I have loved working with Callie Khouri and the extraordinary cast and crew of ‘Nashville.’ Juliette Barnes is such an amazing character to take on and I am truly honored to be recognized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. It’s been an incredible morning!”

Helen Mirren, nominated for “Phil Spector”: “This is a very proud moment for me. I would like to thank the HFPA for this nomination and as well as recognizing Al Pacino, Linda Kenny Baden, and David Mamet, all of whom were very instrumental in participation in this project.”

Chiwetel Ejiofor, nominated for “12 Years a Slave”: “It is such a huge honour to be nominated for two Golden Globes and I would like to thank the members of the HFPA for this incredible recognition. The response to ‘12 Years A Slave’ and ‘Dancing On The Edge’ from the public and media alike has been overwhelming and I am so very grateful. To have been a part of these amazing projects was a gift in itself, that the HFPA have responded in this way, truly means so much.”

Idris Elba, nominated for “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” and “Luther”: “I’m truly humbled and honored to be acknowledged for two projects that, though very different from one another, are both extremely personal and special to me. Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press for your support, and I would also like to give a special thank you to Mr. Mandela, who will be forever missed.”

Bradley Cooper, nominated for “American Hustle”: “I’m humbled that the HFPA recognized ‘American Hustle’ in such a big way. I’m so happy for David O. Russell and really proud of this film. To work alongside Christian, Amy, Jeremy, Jen and the entire cast of this film is a real honor.”

Alfonso Cuaron, nominated for “Gravity”: “What a great year for cinema! I’d like to congratulate my fellow nominees and, of course, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for recognizing ‘Gravity’ with four Golden Globe nominations. I had wonderful collaborators both in front of and behind the camera who took something of a leap of faith with me years ago when we set out to make this film. I share this honor with all of them. I’m very happy too for Sandy who brought this story to life and for Steve whose score drives so much of the film’s emotion, for their well-deserved nominations.”

Leonardo DiCaprio, nominated for “Wolf of Wall Street”: “I’m truly honored to be nominated by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association today. Getting this movie financed and off the ground was a dream of mine for over 6 years, and is a testament to the true collaboration between Red Granite, Sikelia, Appian Way and Paramount. This film would not have been possible without the genius of Martin Scorsese, and this incredibly talented cast and crew. Making ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ was one of the highlights of my career. Thank you again to the HFPA for their support.”
