Grant Bowler ‘Thrilled’ To Join Lindsay Lohan In Liz & Dick As Richard Burton

They shared an episode, but not any scenes in Season 3 of “Ugly Betty,” and now the former not-quite co-stars Lindsay Lohan and Grant Bowler are teaming up for Lifetime movie “Liz & Dick,” and the hunk can’t wait.

“I never expected to be given the opportunity to play Richard Burton. I am thrilled, honored and excited,” Grant told Access Hollywood in a statement on Friday. “I look forward to working with Lindsay Lohan on this movie.”

Grant will play the screen legend, opposite Lindsay Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor.

It’s interesting to note, both actors were part of “Ugly Betty” Season 3, but it appears the only episode they overlapped in was titled “Ugly Berry.”

In the episode, Lindsay wrapped up her arc as Kimmie Keegan, Betty’s former frenemy-turned-friend-turned-job-stealing diva.

Lindsay’s scenes, where she stole a fashion shoot with Adriana Lima out from under Betty, are back-to-back with Grant being introduced as Connor Owens, who eventually became Wilhelmina Slater’s (Vanessa Williams) love interest.

Grant exited the show in 2010, while Lindsay parted ways with “Ugly Betty” in 2008.

He followed up his “Ugly Betty” role playing the often-shirtless werewolf Cooter, who created trouble for both vampires and his fellow werewolves in Season 3 of “True Blood.”

Most recently, the well-built actor played Mason Massey on the now-canceled ABC series about Southern belles and mean girls, “GCB.”
