Grey’s Anatomy Filled With Drama, Joy & Trouble In Relationship Paradise

“Grey’s Anatomy” took fans on wild roller coaster of emotions on Thursday night.

Series creator Shonda Rhimes took to Twitter on Thursday to warn fans this week’s episode would be a doozy, writing, “WARNING: If you live on the West Coast and don’t want the surprise endings of BOTH @GreysABC and @ScandalABC spoiled, SHUT YR COMPUTER DOWN” – and she wasn’t kidding!

After heartbreaking trouble getting pregnant and eventually adopting baby Zola, it was revealed on Thursday’s show that Meredith Grey (played by Ellen Pompeo), is expecting a child. The pregnancy is only three weeks along (so who knows what may happen in ensuing weeks), but it’s still exciting news for Meredith and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) – and the fans!

On the opposite end of the happiness scale, Christina (Sandra Oh) and Owen (Kevin McKidd) are going through a definite rough patch in their marriage, and may not be able to bounce back. Owen bluntly told his on-screen ladylove, “We should get a divorce.” Even sadder was Christina’s equally emotionless response, “If that’s what you want.”

Racking up points for the happy team was Arizona’s successful return to Seattle Grace – as a doctor – for the first time since losing part of her leg on the Season 9 premiere.

Jessica Capshaw, who plays Arizona on the medical drama, was excited to see her character beginning to get back to a normal life.

“Can’t wait to see what you all think of Arizona being back at the hospital…as a doctor NOT a patient,” the actress Tweeted on Thursday.

“Grey’s Anatomy” returns Thursday at 9/8c on ABC.
