Gwyneth Paltrow Nearly Made Her Film Debut Alongside 90’s Rapper

Gwyneth Paltrow revealed she would have made her film debut alongside a ’90s rapper, it wasn’t for an influential family member.

“My father was very protective of me and the first movie, actually, that I ever got offered was to be in the Vanilla Ice movie,” Gwyneth Paltrow told Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

The actress said she was offered the female lead in 1991’s “Cool As Ice.”

“My dad wouldn’t let me do it,” she said.

“I was like, ‘But dad, it’s like a part in a movie.’ He was like, ‘Nope!'” she recounted.
