Gwyneth Paltrow On How She Got Her Short-Dress Wearing Physique

Gwyneth Paltrow wore a host of flattering, short dresses as she hit the red carpet to promote “Iron Man” recently and in the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the actress explained how she got her fabulous physique.

“Oh, my God, I’ve worked out like crazy,” mother-of-two, Paltrow told the magazine.

Paltrow has been taking workout tips from trainer Tracy Anderson, who also trains Madonna.

“I needed something that would really target the postbaby situation,” Paltrow explained. “She’s literally a genius. She’s completely changed my body.”

Anderson reportedly sculpted Paltrow a plan that involved a possible 2,800 moves, which helped the actress get into tip-top shape.

“You do it for ten days, and by the end of it you’ve lost like 11 inches,” Paltrow explained. “She wants you to look like a ballerina, not that hard-looking gym body that on a woman is not so good. She’s incredibly creative, always developing new systems. You say, ‘Oh, my God, my butt is too big,’ she sits there and redesigns this and that, and then next week your butt is not too big.”

And the actress who is next up in the January 2009 due film “Two Lovers,” alongside Joaquin Phoenix, said she has given up her macrobiotic diet. In fact, the actress revealed to Harper’s, she ditched that plan when she was pregnant with her second child with husband Chris Martin of Coldplay, son Moses.

“All I could eat was grilled-cheese sandwiches and yogurt and apples, so I couldn’t be macrobiotic,” Paltrow said. “I wanted ice cream sundaes with hot-chocolate sauce, so I had to listen to my body.”

If you are wondering what Paltrow eats now, to keep her slim frame, the actress revealed all. Her American dinners, which she makes for the family, often include grilled flounder and lettuce wedges with blue-cheese dressing.” When the family is in London, she makes roasts.

But Paltrow still has fitness icons to look up to, like her friend Madonna.

“She’s so physically beautiful and fit, it’s just crazy,” Paltrow said. “I think part of the reason she looks so good is that she’s always striving for more knowledge. She’s a very interested woman.”
