Harry Styles Laughs Off Villain Of The Year Award

Harry Styles has won the hearts of many a teenage fan, but the One Direction heartthrob was gifted with an award of slightly lesser value on Thursday.

At the NME Awards, the 19-year-old boy bander won the Villain of the Year award at the British music magazine’s annual awards ceremony.

Thankfully, the singer took the award in stride.

“Thank you to NME for my award tonight. Gotta take the rough with the smooth eh?” he Tweeted on Thursday night.

Harry, who was most recently linked to Taylor Swift, beat out Skrillex, Psy, and British prime minister David Cameron (who makes a cameo in One Direction’s “One Way or Another” video) for the not-so-coveted award.

In addition to Harry’s Villain award, One Direction was also named Worst Band at the NME Awards (beating Justin Bieber, Mumford & Sons and Muse, among others).
