Having Kids Not ‘An Objective’ For George Clooney & Elisabetta Canalis

George Clooney isn’t ready to take on the role of being a dad – at least, not anytime soon.

George’s gorgeous gal pal, Elisabetta Canalis, told Italy’s Cosmopolitan magazine that the couple doesn’t have any plans for children in the immediate future.

“[Getting pregnant has] never been an objective for me,” she told the foreign publication, according to various online reports. “My maternal desires are fully satisfied with my dogs.”

While fatherhood might not be in the 49-year-old actor’s plans, apparently neither is another walk down the aisle.

During an appearance on “Piers Morgan Tonight” in January, George said he and Elisabetta wouldn’t be saying, “I do.”

“I hate to blow your whole news story, but I was married,” George said at the time, when asked by his father Nick (who appeared alongside the actor) about considering marriage. “Yeah, so I’ve proven how good I was at it, and I just. … I’m allowed one.”

The 48-year-old actor/philanthropist wed actress Talia Balsam in 1989, but the marriage ended in divorce in 1993.

For now, Clooney and Elisabetta are enjoying each other’s company – along with the Southern California lifestyle.

“We love the coast, the Pacific Highway, with its rocks, the surfers and the ocean,” she told the Italian edition of Cosmo.

While some girls want the ring, Elisabetta said she’s happy accompanying her man down the red carpet with a different title.

“I love it to bits. I am happy to participate at events as the ‘girlfriend of,’” she said.
