On Oct. 13, Hayden’s rep
confirmed to Access that she was “voluntarily seeking
professional help” for postpartum depression.

Just weeks earlier, Hayden appeared on “Live! With Kelly
and Michael” and opened up about her personal struggles since giving
birth.

“I can very much relate. It’s something a lot of women
experience,” she said, discussing how her her small-screen alter ego, “Nashville”
character Juliette Barnes, suffered from the disorder in the series’ third season.

Hayden’s not alone in her journey. Other Hollywood moms have
spoken out about their battles with PPD, including Courteney Cox,
Gwyneth Paltrow, Amanda Peet, Brooke Shields and Kendra Wilkinson.

Gwyneth spoke to Access shortly after Hayden’s news broke and
shared her sympathy.

“I always suffer when I hear another woman is suffering
from that,” the Oscar winner said, recalling her own experience with the
condition.

“I just felt very disconnected from my heart, if that
makes sense. I felt like I was outside of my body and I was outside of my life.
… It can be very tricky. I feel terrible for her,” she added.
