“True Blood” is just two episodes in to its third season, but HBO announced on Monday it’ll be back for a fourth.
HBO renewed the show, starring Anna Paquin as the mind-reading waitress Sookie Stackhouse (based on the novels by Charlaine Harris), Stephen Moyer as the 173-year-old Southern vampire Bill Compton and Alexander Skarsgard as sheriff Eric Northman
“I am beyond thrilled to be able to continue working with this amazing cast and crew,” executive producer Alan Ball said in a statement. “This is the most fun I have ever had.”
Season 3, which debuted earlier this month, has brought a host of new characters to the Bon Temps fray including Denis O’Hare as, perhaps, the oldest vampire on the show, Russell Edgington, Theo Alexander as his lover, Talbot, Joe Manganiello as werewolf Alcide Herveaux, James Frain as the vampire Franklin and Marshall Allman as Sam Merlotte’s long lost little brother, Tommy Mickens.
