Healthy Hollywood: Fab Food Friday — Celebrity Diet Secrets

The 3 B’s of a rockin’ celebrity bod: Buffed. Bronzed. Beach-bod Ready. Nice!

Unfortunately, my summer shape is not quite up to Hollywood standards (next year’s goal). Yet, I, like most other women and men, can certainly appreciate (and envy) a chiseled, well-toned body.

Men’s Health and Women’s Health have put together their list of the best celebrity bodies of summer 2010.

“Twilight” star Kellan Lutz grabs the top spot for men, while swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker sizzles as the magazines’ pick for hottest female. Others making the best bod cut are Zac Efron, Jessica Alba, and Taylor Lautner. Good genes and strenuous workouts are both major players in creating these amazing bodies, however, so is a healthy diet. Remember: We are what we eat!

A few of the list’s fabulous females not only flaunt their sensational shape secrets in this eye-popping online photo gallery, but they also share a few of their nutritional nuggets.

Feed Your Workout Like A Celeb:

Kate Hudson:

The actress works out five to six days a week, mixing boxing, agility drills, and jumps with treadmill intervals to sculpt her muscles. Her diet is super healthy, with meals typically consisting of a carb, a protein, and two greens. Two of her staples: yogurt with honey for breakfast, and a big salad for dinner.

Hayden Panettiere:

The former ‘Heroes’ star loves an intense swim session. To fuel her workout, Hayden packs in protein, veggies, and good carbs like whole grains and fruit. She never hits the water without fueling her body.

Fergie:

To stay fit, the singer eats low-fat, low-carb foods and drinks tons of waters, but does cop to cheating every once in a while. She makes up for her diet slips with intense workouts, including runs with husband Josh Duhamel.

Cameron Diaz:

This gal loves to surf. But, when she’s not hitting the waves, she hits the gym – three or four days a week, 60 minutes – for a rotation of Pilates, cardio, and weight training. Cameron is not afraid to pig out, but when she needs to slim down for a red carpet event, she’ll cut out alcohol and white sugar.

Whitney Port:

The star of the ‘The City’ hits the gym three times a week for a get-fit formula of squats, lunges, and circuit training. She stays away from fried food, but keeps cool with her favorite sweet treat: frozen yogurt.
