Healthy Hollywood: Get Movin’ Monday – Carrie Ann Inaba’s Workout Is A Perfect ‘10’!

The “Dancing with the Stars” judge’s job is to critique celebrity dance routines. She understands the stress of dancing in the spotlight. Inaba, 43, reveals in April’s “Prevention” magazine, her first dance class was at three and she scored her future performance marks as a teen pop star in Japan and a solo dancer on tour with Madonna.

For now, the magazine cover gal has retired her dancing shoes, but she still maintains a sleek dancer’s bod. “I do a one-hour workout called Drenched, a cardio-boxing fitness routine, Monday through Friday,” reveals Carrie to “Prevention.” She also adds, “They play great dance music. When I can, I take two classes back-to-back.”

Carrie also has a generous heart and uses her dancing skills to help others. She does dance therapy with young cancer patients as the national spokesperson for the nonprofit Drea’s Dream. “We provide therapy with certified movement specialists for kids right there in the hospital. For that brief moment they’re in charge of their bodies, because when they’re going through cancer treatment, they’re not,” states Carrie.

Life is certainly at a good place for Carrie Ann. She’s getting married this summer to her younger (39-year-old) accountant boyfriend, Jesse. The two plan to start a family, revealing to “Prevention,” “I have healthy eggs, so Jesse and I will keep trying naturally, and if we’re lucky, we’ll get lucky. If not, there’s always adoption. We’ll play it by ear. But we’re certainly doing the work!”

“Dancing with the Stars” airs Monday at 8pm on ABC, and to read more of Carrie Ann’s interview in “Prevention,” head to www.prevention.com/carrie-ann-inaba.
