Healthy Hollywood: Melissa Rycroft’s Plans For Baby #2!

Motherhood is the reality star’s biggest role to date. Melissa is known for her stints on “The Bachelor” and “Dancing with the Stars,” but these days being a mom to her 2-year-old daughter Ava is keeping her busy.

And, just like other new moms, Melissa had to learn the art of “balance” – how to juggle motherhood, marriage and life without losing your sanity. “You need to keep yourself and your relationship with yourself healthy. I personally kind of lost myself after I had my daughter and was struggling to discover what my new role was now that I was a mom. It wasn’t until Ava was about a year old that I was able to realize that I was still me and that I still had my needs and interests, and that it was ok to want and have all of that,” she reveals to Healthy Hollywood.

Healthy Hollywood met up with Melissa at the New York City launch party for the new Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation Test. Melissa has teamed up with Clearblue to help educate women on how to better time their baby-making sessions. “Knowing when you ovulate reduces some of the guesswork so you can focus more on the fun parts of baby-making and, hopefully, get pregnant sooner.”

Melissa reveals to Healthy Hollywood she and her husband, Tye Strickland, are starting to plan for baby number 2. “That is why I partnered with Clearblue to help promote their new Advanced Ovulation Test which helps women get pregnant faster by typically identifying a woman’s 4 best days to get pregnant, 2 more days than any other ovulation test that is currently available. I have already started using the product so that I can be fully prepared and aware of my body when it is time for Ava’s little brother or sister.”

Motherhood certainly seems to treat Melissa well. The former Dallas Cowboy cheerleader has managed to keep her knockout pre-baby body. “You learn time management and learn to incorporate workouts into everyday activities and responsibilities. I like to put Ava in the stroller and jog around the neighborhood or take the opportunity during her nap to work out around the house. For example, I will do crunches with my feet under the sofa.”
