Healthy Hollywood: Try It On Tuesday – A Kate Middleton-Inspired BBQ!

Thanks to the 2012 Olympics, the world’s eyes are on London. Everything British is super cool and trendy! And, of course the Middleton gals, Kate and Pippa, are in the epicenter of hotness.

So, why not give your next BBQ a little Middleton-inspired flair?

The high-protein meal plan phenom, The Dukan Diet, was rumored to be the go-to weight loss regimen at last year’s Royal Wedding and now you can apply those same meat-loving principles to keep you slim in the summertime.

The Dukan Diet, which also reportedly helped Penelope Cruz and Jennifer Lopez shed their post-baby weight, is all about eating lean protein, while restricting other types of food.

For your next BBQ, Dukan nutritionist Simone Gloger has this suggestion, “Serve a variety of healthy Dukan Diet dishes likes crab cakes, shrimp cocktail and chicken skewers. This can help maintain your weight loss and keep your guests’ waistlines from expanding as well!”

The Dukan Diet team shared with Healthy Hollywood their recipe for a tasty beef burger topped with a barbeque sauce.

Beef Burgers:

(Serves 4)

Ingredients:

2 lbs. lean beef

1 lg. onion, grated

1 garlic clove, chopped

2 eggs

Sea salt & pepper

Place the beef in bowl together with onion and garlic, add salt and pepper. Mix. Beat eggs in another bowl and then add to beef mixture and stir. Make half-inch thick burger patties. Grill or fry in a non-stick pan making sure cooked through. Serve in a lettuce wrap or try burger on an Ezekiel sprouted grain hamburger bun.
