Healthy Hollywood: Wellness Wednesday – Celebrities Have Cellulite Too!

The naked truth: no matter how rich – how thin or how famous – cellulite can affect everyone!

Some stats report up to 90% of women have some form of it! I’ve got this shameful fat – unfortunately. As does super beauty Cindy Crawford, who confessed to the world, “I have cellulite. I admit it. But sometimes I just say, ‘Screw it, I am going to wear a bikini and I am not putting on a cover-up.’”

Most of us aren’t as body-confident as Cindy. We slather on anti-cellulite creams, change our diet, and hit the gym – HARD! Yet, cellulite never seems to go away. Are we doomed to a life of cottage-cheese thighs?

Here’s the latest weapon against cellulite – fat-fighting leggings.

Lytess’s line of slimming leggings claims to combat cellulite. Katie Holmes owns a pair. “When the garment massages against the skin, the microencapsulated active ingredients – caffeine and shea butter – are released in a controlled and gradual manner allowing you to reshape body,” explains Lytess guru Philippe Lahmani. Reportedly, the combo of shea and caffeine works to moisturize the skin, drain fluids, and activate lipolysis, the breakdown of stored fat… Hmmm! Just slip on and slim down! It sounds too good to be true.

Lytess also promises after 21 days of continuous wear (up to 8 hours a day, 6 days a week) you will see results. Studies have shown a reduction over 2” around the hips and just over an inch off the thighs… Double hmmm!

Unfortunately, this is not a permanent fix. But, with trip to Mexico booked at the end of December, I just might give ‘em a try. After all, who doesn’t want to be tightened, toned, and less dimply at the beach – even it’s only for a moment?
